Making a Piper Cub in the field, Jan. 1945..................

Here are some photographs from the Davis Library at the Patton Museum in Kentucky, they have very little in the way of airplanes photos but some of you folks might enjoy these...

Notice the name of the plane "MRR special" mobile repair and reclamation squad. No sorry to say, I have about a dozen more to post from the museum....63 CD's of tanks and Patton, but few aiplanes

Great Photo story there Armyjunk2. The moral I take away from it is........"Don't go putting your tongue to the bare metal whatever you do".......

Great slice of life at the tail end of the Bulge. It would also appear they used up a lot of cubs during that time.
