John Fallis P-40 N9FG Gear Collapse

Fri Aug 15, 2008 10:36 am

I heard through the grapevine that John Fallis recently had a gear collapse on his restored P-40N upon landing. Thankfully no one was hurt, but John had been working on this P-40N for quite awhile and just got it airworthy a short time ago Does anyone have any information on this? We are also looking for any contact information for John to assist in any fund raising that might be started. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

It happened on the way back from Geneseo last month, but that's all I know at the moment. From what I understand the Hawk was having problems upon its arrival at Genny, but have no further info.

I've contacted John recently, but haven't heard back from him as yet. Perhaps someone else has more specifics...

Here's a couple shots of the Hawk at Genny...
