That is interesting. I'd guess it is a drawing rather than a photo as some things don't seem true to life. First, there are no prop blades or holes in the spinner for them. Maybe its an experimental jet! It should have 3 blades it seems. Also there are no serial numbers. The RAF ones have the numbers like EN 398 or TE 308 painted in the light green (sky) band in front of the tail section. I don't know if US did also, I think they did. I always thought if I had got a MK V I'd like to have it in a USAAC scheme. We had Vs, IXs and maybe XVIs that I know of.

There are only a couple Spitfires in USAAF markings flying today, correct?

Mgawa, I am not quite sure what language that is. Are you by any chance George Bush's speech coach?
I now realize that the drawing or photo is of an airplane in flight. I was put off on that by not being able to see the pilot. It is obviously part of the new "Ghost Squadron" or else being flown by famous Eagle Squadron menber Shorty Keough and he's got the seat in the lowest notch. Could also be an experimental jet Spitfire and being flown by remote control.
Anyway, a nice picture.

I thought there was a two-seater in the UK in USAAF markings.

I've enjoyed your profiles here on Wix and I'm sure others have as well. However, surely you must know that you can't please everyone. It's part of the risk you take when you post your efforts on line, in any format or forum. And the plain fact is no one scores every time they shoot for the net.
