Forum Operation Question

Thu Aug 07, 2008 5:40 pm

For as much time as I've spent an various discussion boards, I've never run into this problem.

At the bottom of the page I can select to go to page 1, 2, 3, ........543, 544, 545, next

Is there any way to select, say, page 315, without opening each page one at a time?

No

(heheeee, sorry Dave, couldn't resist. Welcome to the board dude!)

Yes.

There are 35 threads on a page.

For example, page 4 starts at

http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/p ... &start=105

Simply edit this number to 35 x the next page number you want to start at.

For example, if you want to go to page 100, the link would be

http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/p ... start=3465 (35 x 99 previous pages)

Okie Doke,

35 times warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=3

=

http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/p ... hp?t=23469

I keep coming up with this thread. My math is good.

Mike is correct...but a little clarification: When viewing the Forum Index as he has shown in his post there are 35 Threads per page. When Inside and viewing a multi page thread itself there are 15 Posts per page. So simply insert the result of page desired times 15 after the "start=" at the end of the address in browser bar to jump to that page. In other words, that "start=" is the number of number of posts to begin the display. The pages will all be rearranged so that the exact post # entered will lead the display.
