This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Well, a few days ago I sent an email to the company that owns that B-52 in NY. Saying that I think this B-52 would best be served in a museum or at lest part of it...also I made note that the 1941HAG museum came to mind. I actually got an email back from them saying they would consider my idea and sent it to senior management!!!
Anyway perhaps you all could send an email saying you would like to see this B-52 saved..even if just parts of it. Also make a note the 1941HAG would be a nice place for that B-52.
here is the email address:

I'm sure that ESAM would love a B-52 nose section, I mean their Vietnam war collection is surprisingly nice, but lacks bombers.

I was told that ESAM looked at this bomber a while back but due to size, money and the condition it was not something that they could do (assuming that the person telling me this had a clue about what the real deal really was).
But a Nose section would be very cool and I'd think most museums would be all over something like that.

walter soplata has a forward fuselage section of a b-52 with cockpit that holds or held a world's record for a distance flight. it's laying on it's side in weeds, & is in decent condition.

Thanks for the kind words guys! There is still a lot of work to be done, but ole '389 has definitely come a VERY long way. Perhaps the future will hold the same for the -52 nose section...you up for it Nathan??

Well speaking on behalf of the Foundation, a C-97 would be a little outside the realm of what we're all about...however for me personally, if gas was cheaper that thing would probably already be in my junque pile here in GA!
