Paul Allens FW190A

Any news on the status of the FW190A rebuilt in the UK for Paul Allen and shiipped back to the US for his collection, to fly ?

Check Aircraft Illustrated magazine - there is a recent photo from Frank Mormillo taken in Gosshawk hangar.

I sthis the one in the article ? if so can I have a brief summary of its status ?

That's the one. Gosshawk are completing the restoration, I guess because of their experience with the D-13. The photo showed the aircraft on its gear looking quite complete.

I remember seeing this bird when she first came out of Russia.Doug Arnold paid a good price for the plane.The plane did have a cracked spar but other than that she was in good shape.

So....Gosshawk is doing both White 1 & one for P.A..... :D

Must be quite an interesting stop.....

As for taking pics...that is another story.

I was at Aero Trader a few years ago & was told that I could snap any AC...but for the one in the corner owned by Mr. P.A.
