Lynn,

You should make this a poll?

Well, since there are 3 P-51s - I have to say go for the Spitfire.
Of course I'm biased, since the Spit is from SA!

Boy that'd be a hard judging choice. Being a P-51 fan I really like seeing all of those P-51s looking so nice, especially the 20th FG bird. I had a 20th FG friend here in town, Mr. Cliff Kies who was really neat to talk to. He flew MC R Little Roue (spelling?), and survived a AA hit over a German airfield flying all the way back to England for a safe landing. I really should see if he's still around. Last I heard he'd had some issues and wasn't feeling that well. I also met Mr. Ilfrey - I think twice at airshows, and he gave me two P-38 books and some copies of Kingscliffe Remembered and copies of photos. Interesting fellow despite some major differences on a few subjects.

Jack's

Jacks Go Buggy has a level of detail on all the extra things which is something to behold. For example their canopy cover is not one of those nice ones from Bruce's Custom Covers, rather it is a reproduction of the WWII type kind of like a padded horse blanket. The Spitfire Mk V is excellent also and woud be the one I'd most love to fly. The lines are like a work of art, even with the cannons it is almost too pretty to be a weapon of war.

HJGB is a work of art. Today all the inspection plates were off of it and I could see up into the tail. It's perfect.

The invasion stripes are painted over the factory stencils!

I agree the Spit is gorgeous but if Go Buggy doesn't get it I'll be shocked...

If she don't, it'll be a crime. Like Bill said, "attention to detail".

The flat OD..drop tanks..NMF, but what really caught me was the NMF and freehand spraygun border of the OD!

The replica issue canopy quilt...invasion stripes over stencils..icing-on-the-cake, Amazing!

Yeah...this shoulda been a poll...
