The Pink Lady never got close enough to apear in the frame this time

I just don't get this "re-enactor" part at all. These guys* all play fancy dress & then sprawl about on the ramp looking like a bunch of clowns who escaped from a circus?
Is that it??
*one of them "blokes" actually looks a bit suspect, appears to be in possession of plucked eybrows & wearing make up.....
