The B-36 might be at the Castle Air Force Base in CA, if I'm correct. 6 turnin' and 4 burnin'!

No longer a AFB but now called Castle Airport, seems to be a large presents of the Ca. Fire Fighting airplanes there now. Just north of Fresno off of Inter 5. Have many pics of the airplanes there if you all would like to see them.

Is that the Castle plane when it was at Chanute? The climate looks a bit temperate for California.

Steve, look at the date stamp on the photo. There are 4 B-36s left, 2 are indoors, and that sure is not Arizona desert brown in the background, so it has to be Castle

OH YEAH! Tell ya where it shoud be...in my backyard! Soon as Mr Allen gives me the OK, she will be back in the air...some gas and a little elbow grease and she will be good as new :roll:

That airplane would take a bunch of work to even think of making it flyable :shock: ! She had some bad corrosion out at Chanute :( , and the way they hacked it apart to ship it out west would make you puke! :vom:
