Australia gains a flying DC-4 hopefully...

Mon Jun 30, 2008 2:03 am

HARS museum in Australia has now been given the QLD based DC-4 VH-PAF as a item to add their collection according to news released today... she wlll be worked on and flown when can to the HARS base at Albion Park.

She was used as a freight bird but lately has not flown and was looking at been scrapped. Hopefully HARS will be able to fly her for all to see more often.

HARS is fast becoming a world leading museum with MANY 2 and 4 engined warbird flying. Not many other museums has such a big and diverse and large fleet. Neptunes x 2, DC-3 x 2, Constellation and now a DC-4 and if any luck a 707 maybe in long term future.
