A recent Vintage Wings shows a Yak-3UPW nearing completion with Frederic Vormezeele in Belgium.
Does anyone know if this is a new build Russian or Romanian airframe, or if it's a Yak-11 or C-11 conversion? Also, its c/n and civil registration number?

Frederic Vormezeele - that name sounds familiar. Is he the one in Belgium who is doing a long term project to restore a Ju-88 to flight or am I thinking of someone else?

I thought it was Eric Vormezeele... or perhaps I am thinking of a different person?
That reminds me to bring up the question if anyone knows the status of Spitfire TD135 that Vormezeele is reported to have within his collection... anyone? I have wondered what has been done with the plane ever since it left the hands of Bill Anderson here in the states... more than a few of the rivets in the fuselage were bucked by yours truly.

Frederic is Eric's son.

I believe it is a Yak 11 and is being 'upgraded' to UPW.
