Harmon Rocket Crash in NJ

Sat Jun 21, 2008 9:35 pm

A friend of mine, Dennis McGurk, and his wife Oksana were killed around 8 pm last night when his Rocket crashed in NJ.
He often came out to work in the hangar here with me on the Mustangs. He had flown in a friends T-6 with Dan Calderale a bit and really wanted to fly warbirds. He was a cop in Atlantic City. He helped with the move of equipment from North East Philly to our present facility and didn't want a dime for his efforts.
He was a good guy and it has been a rough week here for me.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. The world doesn't have enough good people in it to begin with

Having lost several friends in accidents of various sorts, I truly extend my sympathies. Those kinds of things are tough to deal with, even if you have a good solid foundation.

Rich- I saw the news about the accident last night, but didn't recognize the names. Sorry to hear they were friends- you have my sympathies, as do their families. The news report tonight said they had spiraled down, and that flames broke out before the impact- sounds like they had a major issue they were dealing with.
