I am interesting in this type deplyed there- 67 FS, 347 FG, Hendersone Field. So Airacobra had British type of camouflage but which colors? I ask because I have read many oposite info about this subject so maybe somebody here know better.

Cheers :P

The colors were most likely American equivalents of RAF Dark Earth and Dark Green on top, and a Sky Gray underneath. Probably similar to the AVG P-40s.

Hi Steve and thank you for your attention. All you state is correct but to regret there is problem- underside is Sky or Sky Grey? This is different color. Green on topside is posibly Olive Drab but which one? There was two Olive Drab, one which was much brown and the other one which is more green. Not to be confused with lated Medium Green.

From my point of view this is maybe not easy question. Ian Huntley write long time ago that there was US paints, similar to the British paint and as I know they are choosen by British officials from the available industrial paints.

Cheers :P
