D-Day vets

Anyone know of any D-Day veterans or planes still able to fly on such a occasion?

I doubt any true D-Day plane flies as most plane like P-51 Mustangs wear D-Day stripes painted on as a scheme not as it could of flown....so that can be confusing to some people like me.
