This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Just an observation, but I decided to spend a few hours at Santa Rosa Airport today after reading the article in this mornings paper about the 4 Collings Foundation aircraft being here for a few days.
It's been a nice day today, a little warm but clear. I have not seen the 3 bombers fly at all, but the P-51 has been busy with at least 3 flights in the past 3 or so hours. All flights were of the 30 minute duration. While there were ample crowds out looking the other 3 aircraft over, perhaps there were not enough sign ups to warrent a flight? This surprised me as last year, they did fairly well at nearby Napa. My youngest daughter & I rode Aluminum Overcast when the EAA was there.

Tom-
The bombers usually fly around 9AM and 5PM.

We are in Santa Rosa until noon Friday then we head to Concord. We had one 17 ride this morning and 5 flights this evening between the 3 bombers. All and all the last few days have been really busy. Yolo was a real sleeper...lots of people and flights.

Thanks for the comments...I was used to hearing the other one all through the day last year and was expecting the same. We live to the South & can usually see and hear anything on a straight-in approach.
Nice that the P-51 is available for rides too.

I know this year was also the first time they visited Tyler, TX and I was able to get a ride on Witchcraft. I hope that with the number of rides they sold when they were here that they come back again next year.
