“From Camp Gordon to the Future”
DeKalb Peachtree Airport’s Annual
Good Neighbor Day Airshow and Open House
June 7, 2008
12:00 noon – 5:00 PM
The City of Chamblee is celebrating its centennial, & because PDK has been an integral part of this rich
history, our Good Neighbor Day celebrates with them “From Camp Gordon to the Future”.
This year’s airshow is sponsored by the Jim Ellis Automotive Group Atlanta. Early committals to this
year’s airshow include Team RV and an exciting ten-plane formation flight. World renowned acts include
Gary Ward in his MX2 and Greg Koontz in the Super Decathlon. Our own Pat Epps will be performing in
his aerobatic Bonanza, and the hard charging Larry King will be in his super-charged biplane. Kent
Gorton in the Extra 300 and Greg Connell in his Eagle round out the show. It promises to be our best
airshow ever!
Attractions include a generous supply of restored antique planes, World War II warriors,
Commemorative Air Force airplanes including the vintage P-51 Mustang, fire trucks, police vehicles,
ambulances, and helicopters galore.
Visitors may view booths and exhibits in the Epps Hangar, and buy food and soft drinks from Briarlake
Baptist Church. Food will also be available in the on-site restaurant, The Downwind, located in the
Administration Building. There will also be plenty of play activities for children.
There is no admission to Good Neighbor Day; parking is $3.00 per vehicle regardless of the number of
occupants. Cars must enter the Airport from Clairmont Road.
In the interest of safety and security, all containers such as backpacks, coolers, etc. are subject to search
and may, if unattended, be removed from the premises. Also, anyone wanting to ride on airplanes or
helicopters will be subject to the same security restrictions placed on airline passengers. We regret the
inconvenience, but safety & security is important for a wonderful and fun Good Neighbor Day.

Negitive. Ron Alexander is developing Peachstate Aerodrome in Williamson GA. www.peachstateaero.com Williamsburg is down south of Atlanta, & I believe is hosting a flyin this Saturday the 7th, same day as our air show. It is real easy to get confused about locations around here because ther are so many "peach" named locations. We are just north of Atlanta here at PDK/Peachtree-Dekalb. Also to the south is Peachtree City/Falcon Field where the Dixie Wing CAF is based. :?
