That picture + the famous one of Charles Lindbergh wearing his flight helmet with the "1000 yard stare" are my two favorite "portraits" of aviators.

Thanks for the photos once again, Jack.
I used to get a hard time from my navigator/wife/banker about writing ATIS information on the back of my hand--this just proves I'm following a time honored tradition.
