Me too! That's really cool, and gives a great idea of the size difference between them.

Neat Photo! :)

How do we do that for the Navy Legacy Flights? Guess it'd be the R4D with a C-2? :)

I'd love to see a P-38 with the F-35.

Has there ever been another Heritage Flight where the two airframes actually served together? Don't get me wrong, I love the Herk and Puff too, but the AC-47 and AC-130A served right alongside each other in the same war. Like a Skyraider and an A-7 together. Just a unique twist on Heritage Flight, that's all.

R4D and a C-40 :D

Since the 1st-of-its-kind C-47/C-17 Heritage Flight, we've gotten more requests from other shows to perform the same. The paperwork process is in the works to approve an AMC Heritage Flight program, similar in concept to ACC's program but certainly not that large in scope. No idea if it'll get approved, but this "test flight" was a success, so hopefully so. Anyone have a C-54 they'd like to fly with us? Any other airlift aircraft that can maintain 160 kts or more ... contact me.

This was said from a C-17 Demo pilot, so look for this more often in the future!

Not a heritage flight but unusual.

COOL!

Dougals built DC-3 with a McDonnelDOUGLAS built C-17! (NOT Boeing!)

Better yet, I was involved with initial work on the C-17! :D

Ohh... I like that too.

Even better - the CAF R4D-6 and a P-3 or P-8. :)

How about a Harpoon, Neptune and P-3? Now that is a heritage flight I might get excited about. Maybe a Lockeed 10, 12, Loadstar, Hudson, Ventura, Harpoon and Howard. Now we are talking heritage.
