I was recently sent this picture to see if I can identify it.
My best guess is that it is a
Focke-Wulf Fw 58 Weihe
But I'm not positive. The wing looks a little high on the fuselage and the tail is not quite right. Anyone else have an idea.

Almost certainly not a Fw-58.
Looks like a sea plane, and probably RAF too, judging by the uniform of the officer, and what looks like an RAF fin flash.

Cant Z.506 "Arione" Italian tri-motor floatplane. Widely used as a patrol bomber and ASR bird in the Medditeranean.

Allied Code name IONE was a fictional design perhaps based on this aircraft. Fiction magazine suggested Aichi Type 98 tri-motor float plane.

most definetely the italian float plane.... the tail configuration gives it away.
