Rob Harrison crashed Tumbling Bear, recovering

Sun May 11, 2008 9:36 pm

To the SoCal folks, most of you know who Rob Harrison is. Tumbling Bear crashed duing a show in Modesto on May 10. Rob thankfully survived and all I have heard to far is that he broke both ankles and has been through surgery. The Zlin-50 "Tumbling Bear" has been destroyed, but thank God that Rob will be okay. You can get updates on him and post your words of encouragement here:

Keep Rob and Susan in your prayers.

I met Rob when we were both flying the EAA regional show at Longmont, Co. about 5 years ago. He was very nice, friendly and complimentary to my flying there and as an "ACE" evaluator he wrote a letter supporting me to renew my aerobatic card and moving down one level lower, which is where I want to be.
Just at that time he found he had lost his wife in an auto accident, a tough time.
I don't have Email; please give him my best hopes for recovery. Bill Greenwood

We will sure miss him at Chino next week. He is really a favorite there and an all-around great guy.
