USAAF T-6 (or whatever) in North Africa 1942-43. I'll assume captured from the French. NA-64, BC-1????????

It's not a NA-64 Yale, looks like a BT-9. BT-9 had a fabric covered rear half whereas the NA-64 is all metal with fabric control surfaces. Several web pages incorrectly describe the BT-9 as a "YALE". You might expect that from Wikipedia but not Boeing.com http://www.boeing.com/history/bna/bt9.htm

If it was a T-6 how would you like to have all those guys on your basketball team? Everyone of them would have to be over 8 ft tall to sit on the wing like that.

In 1939 France ordered 230 NA-57/BT-9Bs
