Good afternoon fellow wixers :D

I am trying to find out some information for a friend. He would like to know what aircraft this was fitted to?

Any ideas???

I'll have to look on Monday to be sure, but it kinda looks like the gascolator on our DeHaviland Chipmunk. The wing nut, bale, and bowl look very similar. I'm not so sure about the hose fittings. If it's the same, the picture should be oriented with the wing nut facing down.

There are two types - a large one and a small one. The small one is indeed used on the Chipmunk as a fuel filter, but also on the Spitfire as a hydraulic filter. Many other uses!

The large type is used as a fuel filter on Spitfire, Lancaster and lots of others!

I use one of those on the fuel system on our Percival Prentice!
