I guess someone painted one up in the 60's to represent Yippee, anyone have more info on that? Was it a Darry Greenmayer bird? After all, that was his car and so is the Bearcat next to it.

The SMIRNOFF top fueler in photo #2 was owned by A Mr. Grenameyer of Southern California (which may explain why it's under that P-38). After it's last pass in the late 60's the 'chute was balled up and placed in the seat and the car went into hiding. Recently purchased and re furbished, the car now does the 'CACKLEFEST' appearance circuit at major NHRA races.

Awesome! I'm seriously diggin' those diggers! Those front-engined top fuelers bring back some great memories from my childhood. And check out those American Racing "daisy" wheels on Greenameyer's dragster! While the other kids were reading sports magazines, I was reading Hot Rod, Car Craft, Super Stock & Drag Illustrated, Rod & Custom, Street Rodder... you get the picture, right?

The airplanes ain't bad, either.

the picture of the dragster with the P-38 in the background, if you look at the top and right side of the picture you can see it was parked next to the Bearcat.
