Gentlemen,
This B-25 was purchased by Bob Diemert of Carman, Manitoba in the mid--1970s in Texas The aircraft was to be scrapped and Diemert bought both engines. The owner did not want the airframe, so Diemert left the engines on the aircraft, and flew it direct to Carman, Manitoba.
Diemert later sold it to a company in Alberta that had B-25 water- bombers. They had planned using it as a parts source. But I am told this did not happen--the B-25s were phased out of the water-bomber role, and this Mitchell was sold and flown back to the USA.
I have photos of this B-25 in the identical paint scheme parked at Diemert's air strip--Friendship Field. Pictures of the aircraft appeared in Air Classics back in the late 1970s.
