blood chits

Mon May 05, 2008 11:13 pm

Does anyone have a definitive reference for China/Burma blood Chits? I have one, and will happily go to the proper place to get the details....family link.....

for those in doubt....W 37800 in the silk!

Just looking for a start. Family link in the story, so looking for a few answers for those who may go before me. Any help appreciated.....

Trying to ignore all the family talk of AVG. Please some help as I believe the person involved would not have seen the Pacific until 1944.

I haven't read it, but a friend said it was a good reference- link to Amazon sale:

Thanks for the link... Funny, looking at the chit posted on the link, and mine, lots of differences. I know mine is going to be authenticated to the period of 1942 to 1944 because of letters of the time, and this artifact I have. I want to figure out if it is assigned to anyone in particular or if there is any real record on the numbers. Will try to find the book and see what it has to offer, but if anyone has anything different.....

You might try sending a picture to Richard Peach at peachair@sbcglobal.net, he should be able to identify your chit.
