This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Anyone know when the 'Liberty Belle' plans to be in the air on Saturday during its stop in Denver? Plan on going and seeing her tomorrow and would love to get some in air shots of her...

Mark,
I talked to one of the staff today. She didn't have a start time, but would end by 5:00pm...(or later if the weather permits).
They were washing her up today. (parked by Stevens Aviation)

I really like the series of photos you've been posting on flickr.

Went and saw her this Saturday morning, went to the west end of the runway where the fire bombers nest and here she comes on takeoff run, right past us and towards the mountains....went and had some breakfast, watched her come back in, got some taxiing shots, bought the obligatory T shirt, headed back to the west and and watched her launch and then got some good shots when she came back in....in between, while driving around the airport, saw a DeHavilland Venom but in different colors than I was used to so investigated....turned out to be Mark Johnson's Venom freshly out of the paint shop and back in silver and red (what I assume to have been her Swedish colors?) and looking VERY sharp, renewed acquaintances with Mark Johnson and Doug Isern, an N3N driver who my friend Denise sent her daughter up with at Aspen one year, good to see them....a Great morning, the Fort looked good, hope to have some pics to pass along soon...

Blue-
It looks sweet, very sharp, quite a change from the camouflage colors he used to have on it, Mark said it was repainted over at Front Range and if this is the kind of work that that shop can do, they should be VERY popular with the warbird crowd once word gets out!!
Looked for you out by the B-17 but as I have no idea what you look like, it was like looking for a needle in a haystack...we need to exchange some pics so when the B-17's come in early June we don't m iss each other again!
I called Denise and told her to send over some of her digitals so I could get them up on the site here....should happen later tonight (I shot film)...

Mark, I can't wait to see the new "livery".
I saw it last year at KBJC open house and Watkins (EAA Fly-in).
I hope he shows it off this year at those events.
Is he still going with the "Swiss Miss" name or is this something new?
Are you going to the (Boulder Municipal Airport open house May 10th, 2008)?
http://www.pacificprowler.org/Boulder.html
If so I will see you there.

Still has the 'Swiss Miss' logo on it, just in a different way, now it's a cat's open mouth right below the cockpit with the Venom flying through it and it says 'swiss miss' in the middle...still waiting for the photos from Denise to post on the site...
Dunno about making the Boulder fly in, might be able to swing that....you'll have to remind me...
