This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

My one and only ride in a Huey came in 1998 during a CAP search for a missing aircraft in North Georgia. A couple of us volunteered to be observers for a GA ANG Huey sortie. We went for about 2 hours at tree-top level or below following the Toccoa River, sitting in the door with our feet on the skids (strapped in, of course). Didn't find the aircraft on that sortie (did later) but saw a lot of rafters and sun-bathers rather close-up.
One heck of a ride.
