wow.. great shots there.. thanks for posting these.. I've got every P61 book I've
ever come across and I don't think I've ever seen the picture of the guys workng
on the turret like that.

Okay, I know the answer to this ... except that I have Alzheimer's at the tender young age of damnearfifty so I haff to ask: What'd the BW use for roll control? Flaperons? Flaps 'n' spoilers?
Also, anyone care to spell out how that upper turret worked? Or mind mentioning a good way where I might learn more about night fighters in general?

Hi Pogo -
Roll control used spoilers - you can see them in the last photo looking down on the aircraft and they are located just forward of the flap hinge line. There's a small aileron outboard for "feel". Check out:
