Air Force Admits Memphis Belle Hoax!!!

Tue Apr 01, 2008 5:23 pm

Air Force Museum officials made a surprise announcment today admitting to a 6 decade long hoax covering up the fact that the famous bomber wasn't the first B-17 to complete 25 combat missions over Europe. The hoax came to light after workers restoring the famous Boeing bomber removed paint exposing the insignia of a nude angel riding a bomb and the name "H*ll's Angel.
In other developments Jack Cook admits CY was first the break the sound barrier and Pappy Boyington was All-American hero

I've known that's the case for a long time now, Jack. Everyone knows that David Tallichet was flying the real Memphis Belle around the US for the last 20 years!

I think I'm going to print and have framed on my wall Jack making complimentary statements about Pappy Boyington. It must be something they are putting in his model airplane glue! :)
