434th TCG Photo

An RAF Air Commodore (I think) adresses aircrew of the 434th TCG at Aldermaston from the control tower. They are probably straining to understand his upper class Limey accent!

And who might have been the HMFWIC who showed up in the Caddy series 62 limo? :)

I'd rather know who's L-5 that was...

Not many of them!

I'm going to guess at Trafford Leigh-Mallory, from the stance, period and context.

Although badly remembered by history, and as he died in the war never had a chance to put his view of things postwar, he was important in the latter part of the war, perhaps underrated for focussing 2nd TAF on ground support.

Yes, it must be Leigh-Mallory. I looked at Wiki after posting the photo. I was totally wrong about the rank!

I was sorta thinking that too... at least now I know that I wasn't nuts.
(or maybe I'm simply not the only one who's nuts... aw, heck... we're all nuts, ain't we?)
