Looking for pics of all the gun turrets that were used on ww2 warbirds, as a youngster had a chance to sit in a ball turret and top turret of a B17 at an airshow and was facinated at what the gunner had to go thru to manipulate the guns and track a fleeting fighter, the ERCO ball turret and side turrets used on the Navy Privateer are very interesting

Here is the Martin 250 they have at the CAF hangar at Midland. I think it was intended for the B-24, you'd have to ask someone from down there about it's history.

Was looking at the Symposium pics and the photo with the Nose gun turrets lined up the first one is said to be a tail turret off of a P2V, with the glass nose next to it. My ? is that the nose turret looks like it is off of a P4M-1 Mercater??? I know that none of them survived but could that nose turret have been salvaged off of one of them prior to going to the crusher?
