Sun Mar 09, 2008 3:27 am

Hi all, I recently bought a photo album containing a lot of ww2 pics.

Heres the noseart ones. All of them look to be taken in New Guinea

Will post more of the "interesting" US aircraft once scanned :D

I believe "EARTHQUAKE" was a 90th Sqdn, 3rd Attack Group plane

Looks like the 24's have the Field mod of putting some tail turrets in the nose. :)

Nice stuff...

'Big Chief Cockeye' was from the 530th BS, 380th BG. More info and images HERE...

'Twin Nifties II' was from the 400th BS, 90th BG. The other side of this ship carried similar artwork and the same name,
but the spelling was different; 'Twin Niftys II'. More info and images HERE...

'Butcher Boy' was from the 320th BS, 90th BG. More info and images HERE...

Thanks for sharing this stuff with us, and please do post more when you have the chance!
