366 FG did do that on some P-47's.

I find it amusing that they have this 14 ton airplane raised at the tail with a lifting fixture attached to a boom truck, a jack in place at all three points, and still need several hundreds of pounds of ballast to keep the tail down on the jack.
Are they preparing for a gear swing?, a wheel and/or brake change?, or are they in the butts for an alignment test?
