ISAP in Ft. Worth Pics

Fri Feb 29, 2008 11:48 pm

Today at ISAP in Ft. Worth we went and saw a few things. Lockheed Martin was kind enough to let us look at the first F-35 and they also brought in GG, so we could see the how the Lightning has changed over the years. There was also a new Block 60 F-16 there. Vought let us look at a few of their planes their retirees were working on including the only Pirate, the last Flapjack and a Corsair among others. Bell Helicopter let us shoot a 609 tiltrotor static. The high point of the day was when Lew Shaw sent his TT-1 Pinto over for use to take pictures of. He also sent the P-51 and SR-71 Wing Commander Rich Graham. Pretty impressive there Lew.............

For those that seriously interested in taking pictures of airplanes, may well want to join up and consider coming to our annual symposium next spring.......

Where's the Cutlass?

Sat Mar 01, 2008 6:07 pm

Good question, I didn't see a Cutlass. The Corsair was in a different hangar than the others, we stopped, looked, ate lunch and got back on the bus. I'll ask some of the guys tonight.......

Cutlass moved on some time ago. Check the archives, I think there may already have been a discussion on it.

Ztex started a thread, "LTV Restorations" where a few questions were asked about the Cutlass..but no one
knew/offered her current status, then or now...yet. Some great photos! Dont be shy BDK..You had some nice shots too..'twas a nice thread. Thanks!!! :D

There's one photo of the F7U there.

I've still got an unbuilt Jetex Pinto TT-1 balsa kit I found when I was a teen...

I asked because the ISAP write up mentioned it was on the list of planes to view.
