Have any of you guys ever detailed which Widows left the factory OD vs. black? How about OD birds painted black once they arrived in the theatre?

Lovely picture there Mr Cook. In answer to last post I can confirm paint details for one P61A. 42-5533 left the factory olive drab and stayed that way until it's unfortunate demise on 11th July '44. I'm still keen for a photo (even if it's nestled somewhere in the background) to go into a report into it's excavation. If anyone has photos of the crew, 1st Lt Edgar Merriman and 2nd Lt Delbert Dow it would be most appreciated. The pair of them survived longer than their P61! Thanks in Advance, Ian.
