A B-52H Stratofortress from Barksdale Air Force Base, La., was forced to make an emergency landing at Minot International Airport in North Dakota early Friday morning.

The five crew members from the 20th Bomb Squadron at Barksdale were uninjured, according to a spokeswoman at Minot Air Force Base.

The airport is about 13 miles from the Air Force base, the spokeswoman said.

The B-52 crew, on a training mission from Barksdale, declared an in-flight emergency due to aircraft malfunctions and deteriorating weather conditions at the base, according to a Minot press release.

Airmen from Minot Air Force Base were at the scene, the base spokeswoman said.
