"Keep 'Em Flying!" has lots of good shots at Chino Airport (Cal-Aero Field). Many of the buildings and hangars still exist.

If anyone wants to get some screen captures I can try to duplicate them "then and now."

Surprisingly, the rescue at the end of Keep 'em Flying was based on an actual incident - there was an article in Reader's Digest back in the mid-70s that said it happened before the war and involved a Navy pilot in an SOC scout plane rescuing a parachutist dangling from an R2D or R4D.

And on the outtakes - they left out this exchange between A & C at the end of (I believe) Africa Screams:

ABBOTT: "Well, We've come a long way - remember the old Palace Theatre?"
COSTELLO: "The old hole ain't the same."
ABBOTT: "Remember the dressing rooms at the old Palace Theatre?"
COSTELLO: "The old hole ain't the same."
ABBOTT: "And remember Gypsy Rose Lee?"
COSTELLO: "The old hole ain't the same!"

(   Remember these guys started out in burlesque.)

Interesting Factoid:

The exciting Runaway Torpedo sequence in "Keep 'Em Flying" where Lou rides the live Torpedo around the Hangars was actually a Costello Family effort. Lou's Twin Brother was the stunt-man who really rode the Torpedo during this scene. Lou was too valuable to replace...

A & C raised endless millions & millions of dollars for the War Effort. Only to be sued for millions by the Government a few years later for back taxes. That's gratatude for Ya!! ... Digger
