And here I opened the thread expecting to see one of these:

Agreed. Figured I'd see a Debonair with someone posing as a fighter pilot by it...

It's usually spelled debonaire to prevent confusion Jack. :)

And, the Captain has only been 'in theater' for two and a half weeks to this point, see what willowas and white outs can do to the average 23 year old ?

All joking aside, I did too.

Capt Griffin reminds me of the fighter pilot cartoon drawn by Col. Bob Stevens.

?????

If I'd spelled it DE-BONER you'd of had no problem right

Oh God, Jack ... that'd be my new avatar if my business manager and social director didn't order me to shamelessly promote the artwork of Wade Meyers ...

I didn't open the thread a couple of times cause that's what I expected to see as well.

Wade, you have the requisite skills and talent to turn Capt Griffin's photo into a pencil study. Then your social director couldn't complain, right ?

wo out

Sun Jan 27, 2008 12:04 pm

Boy, he looks wo out! I've seen homeless guys that looked better than that! I think he is ready for two weeks R & R in Hawaii. And someof us mght want to be a Fighter Pilot, but not in Adak. I wonder how long you last in the water temp up there if you have to use that float vest?

Sun Jan 27, 2008 1:17 pm

About 12 to 15 minutes. I've thought for a very long time that the abandoned N.A.S. on Adak would make the perfect maximum security prison-a small office complex at the shoreside end of the pier, go through the door and have a nice stay! Go ahead, swim away we'll fish you out in a day or so.........

???

Been there and didn't think much of it!!! :?

Well- That's one advantage to being stuck in a distant theater of war.

No brass hats to enforce the grooming regs!
