Hello everyone, here is a couple of pics from the Philippines and Guam, This was a armor, artillery and fortifications trip so not many airplanes....

The engine is a R-2800 Pratt and Whitney. I would venture a guess as its off of a C-46 transport with the 4 blade Curtiss Electric prop.
The 3 blade looks like a Curtiss Electric prop.

photos 1-3 did the C-46 use a 4 bladed prop and would it still been around as late as 1975?

Originally the C-46 used the 4 blade Curtis Elec prop. In the US most were equipped with 3 blade Ham Std's and I think the 2800 - number were even changed to a different model.
C-46 was used into that time period in the SE Asia area. CIA used them in large numbers.
Exhaust collector looks like C-46.

I was gonna say R-2600 with a Curtiss prop off a SB2C :shock: :idea: :?:
