Nose section is in Okarche, Oklahoma...Highway 81...to the north of the B-26, which is in El Reno, Ok....Hiway 81 also (and jct of I-40)...just to the west of Oklhoma city. :)

Yep, I saw that nose section last Jan. on my way to Enid, OK. Unfortunately it was dark, icy, and late. I was doing my best to make Enid in one piece that night.

Now there is a A-26 that should be in the air. Static is not always wrong, but not always right. Is this a museum aircraft?

mustangdriver,

That A-26 is in front of the VFW Club, right along a major highway. In spite of everything, it was in fairly good shape the last time I saw it.

Mustangdriver:

That A-26 in El Reno, has been at the same location since -according to the information on a plaque there- since the 1950s.

On Highway 66, between Yukon and El Reno, there is or there was, an aviation technical school, and I recall seeing several aircraft and helicopters in different stages of disassembly.

If I remember correctly (this was November 2000) there were a couple of Cessna O-2 aircraft there.

Anyone has seen these?

Saludos,

Tulio

Tulio, somewhere in the general area, I believe within 25 miles, I remember seeing what appeared to be a lot of Cessna fuselages, but I only cought a brief look, could be same place...I will investigate further...what I am looking for in the Oklahoma area is a tail section of either a B-24, or a B-25, that someone has heard of, that is supposed to be in the area. I do know that a vert. fin was found around Stillwater, was previously used as a sign for a wrecker service...
