I started scanning the European Theater photos for the Prairie Aviation Museum up in Bloomington, IL. Here's some mangled Mustangs to make you cry.....
Any help with additional info would be appreciated!

the first two photographs show 44-12208 P-51B-1-NA 353rd FG 352nd FS (WW hack) after Lt. Charles E. Sladek was killed in the crash during a training sortie. Location is given as Woolpit, England. Looks like he entered a flat spin.
the next two photographs will need a little further research
the last two show
44-15060 P-51D-15-NA 55th FG 343rd FS Jill's Jalopy II CY-H assigned to Lt. Paul E. Hoeper; this a/c was lost 21st February 1945 [MACR 12593] MIA (flak); a/c lost with Lt. George E. Eichhorn - POW - hit by flak in the Mistelfeld area - the landing accident depicted here happened on 25th November 1944 at Sta. 159 Wormingford with Lt. James C. McVay at the controls.
