Ah a flash back to the Livingroom War, an interesting place Vietnam.....Missed it by the a Knatts A Double S.....It was quite an area for an aircraft proving ground don't you think. I remember watching the films of the naplam and Willie Pete hitting the ground.......Lot of stuff happened over there. the B-52...ahhhhhh what a killer.

Is that early on? That's the SAC paint job right?

Yeah, you can see the SAC crest on the nose.

Also notice the stress on the rear side of the metal.

Cool shot

I did a search trying to find 70162 now, can't find anyting. But I came across this piece; dive down to Operation Desert Storm, close to the bottom. :)

I heard somewhere, that the 52 has a stretch factor in its fuseeelodge....anybody else ever heard of that before?

I know the wings litterly flap up and down 10-12 feet while in normal flight. Don't know about the body streaching, but who knows with those old birds.

The skin expands and contracts due to pressureization and loading. The wings can flex 15 feet up or down.
