The subject line pretty much says it all  ...

Late pilot named to Aviation Hall of Fame
The Forum - 12/30/2007
The North Dakota Aviation Hall of Fame has selected the late Gerry Beck of Wahpeton as its newest member.
Beck, an aviator known worldwide for restoring vintage war planes and helping create the Fargo Air Museum, died July 27 in a two-plane collision at the AirVenture experimental air show in Oshkosh, Wis.
Beck’s vintage aircraft restoration business,
Tri-State Aviation in Wahpeton, grew out of a crop spraying operation.
Some of the crop spraying innovations Beck developed are in wide use today, and the Fargo Air Museum displays some of the military planes he built.
The Aviation Hall of Fame will honor Beck at the North Dakota Aviation Council’s Upper Midwest Aviation Symposium on March 2-4 in Fargo, a news release said.

Some of the readers here may have the 4 DVD set "The Corsair Experience"...there is some nice interview footage of Gerry along with on plane footage in his F4U-4.
He is also in the DVD "The Restorers"...did I get that title correct?
In any event, he came across as a very knowledgeable, down to earth gent.
