My Dad's WWII pics

My dad was based in France and Germany before the end of the war, he was with Troop Transport and was a crew chief on a C-47.

Maybe because they would get in the way when poking around fixing things? Not sure.

maybe it was the style back then...... looks alot better then the way most kids where them now all sideways ....

I think its so the Prop wash will have a harder time taking their hats off.

They did it to keep the cap on their head. if you ever wore one you would realize it imediately.
