Thanks for the heads-up; I've driven past that '86 many times. However, Sherman is in TEXAS, not oklahoma!

"These are rare birds and every year there are less and less available for static display. There are some that have been bought and are flying by private owners of course those are made overseas and our 86s made by our government are not for sale," said John Elkins of the Perrin Air Force Base Museum.
Did the USAF really not sell any F-86s to private owners? We have an F-86F-30 on display at VFM, but it was last used by the Bolivian Air Force.

I believe the only "US" F-86 was the F-86A that is currently in the UK. That one was built out of parts. The rest of the flying F-86s are probably Canadian F-86s.
