I need your Help: American Pilot ID

A friend bought a box, where is represented the name of an American pilot of the 8th or 9th air force in United Kingdom...

My first researches identified several soldiers served in USAAF:
Robert L Nichols:

- sn: 14039484 from Pitt, North carolina, join in 1941, born in 1921 at North Carolina State
- sn 19212880 from Solano, California, join in 1945, born in 1928 at Minessota State
- sn 13033442 from Roanoke, Virginia, join in 1941, born in 1917 at Virginia State
- sn 19067156 from L.A. , California , join USAAF in 1942, born in 1920 at Iowa State
- sn 19078478 from L.A. , California , join USAAF in 1942, born in 1920 at Georgia State
- sn 19194877 from King , Washington, join USAAF in 1943, born in 1923 at Washington State.

I would like to have there unit in ETO PTO or MTO or any other help
