What gets me is the strength of the net. The damage to the starboard engine nacelle is caused by a strap on the net . That's a lot of weight and force to bring to a stop. Like i said neat stuff

That stinking barricade is a pain in the tushy to rig! I always hated having to do that drill on the deck! If you ever had the chance to get up close and personal with it you would not be so surprised at the damage to the aircraft.

My thought on the video was "WOW, now that deck looks very small for the A3D. Man. I thought the deck on the Kitty was small after coming of the Lincoln. I heard the pilots remark that it also seemed a lot narrower than the Lincoln also.

I was walking around the USS Yorktown just after getting out of the Navy when someone I was talking to was amazed at how big the ship was, I was amazed at how small it was. I thought that was pretty funny.
