I just found out that Bob Pond has passed on. Although I never had the chance to meet him I would liked to have Thanked him for collecting all his Warbirds and spending alot of his money on some Great restorations. Blue Skies.

Wow.....Tallichet.....Col Pay.....Odegaard.......Pond.......Ray Hanna........seems all the founding Fathers of the warbird movement of 20 or 30 years ago or longer are all heading west.....and we're all left to pick up the pieces and keep these things flying....which we MUST do...
Never met Pond, but loved his collection of birds and saw a few of them in action...Cruddy time to go out, a week before X mas, but Tailwinds, Bob...
