Pensacola Naval Air Museum

Fri Dec 14, 2007 8:49 pm

I am planning on stopping at the Naval Air Museum on the 18th...If anybody has any requests for pictures of a particular type of aircraft, let me know, I'll do my best to get a good shot. Gary

A buddy of mine is going down next week to do some fabric work at their workshop. The Naval museum is restoring a T-34B. Please DO NOT take a picture of it. A picture of their Coronado flying boat that is in the restoration hangar would be great, please. It's the last one extant and was the first aircraft to land in Tokyo Bay after the surrender terms were signed on the U.S.S. Missouri ending W.W.II.

Ok...will do my best....The people there are really great....they allowed me to crawl all over their PV-2 unsupervised...Stay tuned

How about the Bearcat, I havn't seen too many of that one. Is it not an original unrestored from a squadron or has it been rodone?
Somebody enlighten? Thanks.

Aero 9 Neptune nose turret

Sat Dec 15, 2007 12:13 am

Gary,
I would love to get some photos of the inside of this Emerson Aero 9C P2V Neptune nose turret. I was down there back in August but spent so much time touring the restoration shop that I never had time to ask them if they could push this away from the wall so I could get some photos. I've never been able to find a parts or maintenance manual for this turret but I know I've got lots of bits and pieces for this model. You probably already know the guys at the shop down there but I can PM you with the name of the guy I was dealing with last summer. Thanks,

Also the Kingfisher, and the PBJ. I worked on the restoration of the PBJ, but have not seen it since it went to Florida.

Brewster Bermuda pleeeez! And another vote for the Vindicator.

(Also any unrestored Lake Michigan recoveries if they're viewable.)

Thanks!
