Anybody on the WIX site around Branson, MO? I had seen a satilite photo of Branson, and on a major East-West road through town, there was a P-51 (or replica) toward the East, and further West on the same road was a PV-2....The wife and I were going to take an overnighter down there before winter hit, but life got in the way..will be spring until we can go that way again...

The P-51 is a fiberglass mockup on a pole outside a Veterans museum. The museum has some crazy 40 foot long sculpture of life sized infantry men from vietnam. Its worth the pay to see it. Branson is an experience.
I believe the PV-2 you mentioned is actually a Lockheed Stallstar on a pole thats painted pink i believe.
There are so many things on a pole out in MO its ridiculous. Cars, Tractors, Airplanes, Cows, they've got it all out there.

Thanks Falcon, I know..I happen to live in the state!.....Did you mean a Learstar?

I was trying to be funny with the Loadstar. It got that and a few other nicknames from its unfavorable stall characteristics.

I have seen both the 51 is glass, and the loadstar is over the local mini golf. Played there with the kids just to get close.

FLYING aircraft there would be if we put those in museums and liberated the potential fliers!

WOW! Great pics there Falcon! No doubt about the Mustang being a replica, But the other....and by the way, that is 100% Harpoon...that doesn't look to be a rep...It looks a lot like the one in S. Carolina at a mini-golf course....Hmmmm.....same company?
